More updates from the past…starting in January code started rolling off the presses faster…

Fixes a lot of bugs, especially in reports and excel exporting. Also adds some features:

– New menu structure is a lot easier.
– Includes a “New” option to initialize a new sheet with some default columns.
– Excel output of recorded trackmarks include course over ground and speed over ground at the trackmark, and distance from previous trackmark.

I started versioning these releases. This is version 1.0.0.1. Next version will be 1.0.0.2. That way we can tell who has what version.

Extract files from zip file, run setup.exe.

Let me know if you find any bugs.

A number of bug fixes, a few features, including the ability to insert a new row in an entry sheet. That is, as you are entering data, right click on the left side of the row and choose “Insert a new row”. Useful for cleaning up data later.

The sample myticetus sheet has also been updated to include a number of new features that have been useful to us recently. In particular, it shows a more advanced use of time and position stamping (i.e. the time and position stamps are not recorded until data is entered into a row – this allows you to sit with your cursor in a new row without timestamping the row)

– Fixes accidental Escape key killing partial row of data

– Changes default names for save files to YYYY-MM-DD
– Rationalizes the names of the auto-save files on attached USB drivers (includes the currently loaded file name so you know which file is being auto-saved).

New version 1.0.0.6

–  fixes a few bugs, including a crashing bug in sheet creation.

–  contains a functional version of realtime CSV file import (targeted to Difar…but usable by anyone…basically, if you have some data being written by another application in a CSV format, you can read it into Mysticetus, either in one blob or in realtime as the other application writes the data out).

–  Adds bearing lines drawn from any waypoint or vehicle

New version of Mysticetus is up on the download site (http://www.mysticetus.com. I added a slew of new features so I figured it was time to bump the main version to 1.1 (full version is 1.1.0.15). Some of the changes:

– Bugfixes (thanks Mithriel for finding these!)
– New tooltips on the map window. If you hover over a track line it will display information about the track mark you are currently pointing at, including time (GMT – all track marks are stored Zulu), altitude, etc.
– Ability to control the naming of sighting waypoints (i.e. when a waypoint shows up on the chart there are more things you can control).
– A lot of new Difar features, some of which will trickle back into the main application, including the ability to instantly record new records with a lot of the information pre-filled.

Let me know of any bugs
