Mysticetus Software Enables Responsible Seismic Exploration in Alaska's Cook Inlet

Jun 30, 2015

Mysticetus LLC announced today its successful collaboration with SA Exploration (SAE) on a complex seismic survey project in Alaska's Cook Inlet. Mysticetus software played a critical role in enabling SAE to conduct its operations while ensuring stringent standards, set forth by the Marine Mammal Protection Act in this ecologically sensitive region.

Cook Inlet presents unique challenges for marine operations, known for its abundance of marine mammals, including endangered beluga whales. Mysticetus software provided SAE with a real-time monitoring and mitigation solution, allowing for continuous observation of marine mammal activity and facilitating informed decisions to minimize potential disturbance.

"The Cook Inlet environment demands rigorous mitigation measures," said Dave Steckler, CEO of Mysticetus. "We are proud that our software helped SAE meet these challenges head-on, demonstrating its value in balancing critical industry activities with environmental stewardship."

This project further solidifies Mysticetus's position as a trusted partner for companies operating in challenging marine environments where responsible interaction with marine life is paramount.
